Luminous Lines

Does anyone else struggle with writing those “fun facts about me” captions? I sure do, so I outsourced this one to my colleague and in-house strategist and copywriter, Tahnée. ​​​​​​​​

I wasn’t sure what she was going to write… but it appears she knows me well—maybe a little too well based on that first fact! 😂​​​​​​​​

3 Facts About Julia, from Tahnée:​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
1 - If Julia tells you her brain has gone blank, it’s probably because she tried to make the day a “no coffee day”. That’s never a good idea. Five minutes to refuel her with caffeine and you’ll be struggling to keep up with her ideas!​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
2 - Julia will push you outside your comfort zone in the BEST way possible. Every time she creates inspiration boards for a client, she’ll include one “outside your comfort zone option” and I’d say 90% of the time, it’s the one clients go for. She has this innate ability to read people, see a vision inside of them, and somehow turn it into a visual representation. Blows my mind. Every. Single. Time.​​​​​​​​

3 - Don’t attempt to play Pictionary with Julia, especially if you’re drawing skills amount to stick figures like mine do. Her “quick sketches” are masterpieces. (Seriously, swipe through. I’ll make her put some of them in this post.) ​​​​​​​​

When I routinely ask business owners what their top frustration is when it comes to their brand and website, the answer is ALWAYS the same: The time and effort required to create branded materials for marketing and keep their website up to date.

One way to short-cut this workload is to have custom templates designed for your most frequently-used marketing elements, or at minimum have a style guide and brand system in place to remove the guesswork and avoid the mish-mash of content you’ll come up with yourself without having “rules” to abide by.
