The seventh annual GORUCK Rucking Division at the Williams Route 66 Marathon is officially in the books — and what a year to remember! SOLD OUT across every race distance, an overcast sky kept the course comfortable with no chill and no wind, perfect conditions for ruckers to put in serious work. The course was packed with energy: beer stops everywhere, surprise shots, and the strongest community engagement the division has ever seen.
Travelers from Arkansas and Indiana joined ruckers from across Oklahoma to take on the 2025 challenge. This year, 1 incredibly determined rucker completed Sunday’s Full Marathon, clocking a 6:11:48 gun time and 5:55:53 chip time. 23 ruckers crossed the line in Sunday’s Half Marathon, and 10 took on Saturday’s 5K. Outstanding effort across the board.
Since launching in 2019, the Rucking Division has grown into a proud community tradition—and 2025 proved the momentum is stronger than ever.
The custom GORUCK finisher patch for the Route 66 Marathon Rucking Division will return again in 2026!
NEXT UP: The Tulsa Oilers Arena Challenge at the BOK Center on January 31, 2026! Register in the GORUCK Rucking Division using the link in the comments. Fully geared rucks welcome. Don’t miss this chance to take on a full arena stairs challenge and an indoor 5K in one event.
Next year, the 2026 Route 66 Marathon GORUCK Rucking Division will cap off a full year of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Route 66 Mother Road. Throughout the year, Tulsa ruckers will also honor America’s 250th birthday, joining the Blackout Rucking Crew of Lawton at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and stepping into several Tulsa-centered events that highlight community, service, and tradition.

Steve, Steve, and Mike rucked the McNellie’s Pub Run 4-Miler—a fine blend of endurance, elevation, and Irish hydration. With a 16:59 pace and 535 feet of climb, they powered through Tulsa’s streets like Guinness-fueled pack mules on a mission.

Along the way, Random Rucker Dave and his loyal sidekick Brutus joined the charge, proving that four legs and a wagging tail make any ruck better. The team crossed the finish line tired, sweaty, and gloriously medal-clad—ready to trade miles for pints and celebrate stamina, stupidity, and camaraderie in equal measure.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about miles or medals—
it’s about earning your 4 pints of Guinness, one step (and one chug) at a time. 🍺💪

Food and fellowship followed at Fassler Hall! Good times!
