Kaizen Strength Systems
Yesterday Kaizen began our 7th year in business.
The gym has grown and evolved significantly in that time. We’ve more than doubled in size and equipment, and prices have never increased. That’s intentional.
The number of members has grown without ever feeling crowded, or diluting the culture here. That’s also intentional.
Growth in the right direction will only happen if you are INTENTIONAL.
This place is full of people working to better themselves and embracing discomfort. Growth requires both of those things - surrounding yourself with like-minded people and being willing to work hard.
Kaizen…a little better every day, in every way. Intentionally.

Another of the tenets of the Kaizen philosophy.
What got you HERE won’t get you THERE. If you want to adapt, improve, and evolve, then you’re going to outgrow people, places, and ways of doing things.
Sometimes change is hard because it hasn’t always been perceived as good when it’s happens in our lives.
Change your thinking, change your life.

Have you tried our pendulum squat? It’s a great quad builder. It’s an alternative to hack squat and provides more stability than a quad focused free weight movement would. It’s more quad focus than a traditional leg press movement provides.
A few things to know:
🔸the closer to the top of the foot plate your feet are, the more your hamstrings help the movement. This will reduce the tension in your quads and knees
🔸this machine is a muscle+strength builder, not an ego builder. Start light and assess your ability before you go all in on this one
🔸if the weight of the machine itself is a lot for you, you aren’t alone. The counterbalance is where you put plates to help lighten the load (slide 2)
🔸if you’re maxing out on weight or depth and need a safety, flip it up. If you want to get as low as possible for maximum range of motion, flip it down (slide 3)
Remember - have fun and rack your weights when you’re done!
