Public response to Twilight Sonoran, Ignacio Garcia’s blue, black and white, 1,200-square-foot, eye-level painting of a Sonoran Desert night inside Tohono Chul Park’s Garden Pavilion, has been “beyond imagination positive,” according to Jamie Maslyn Larson, president and CEO of the Oro Valley garden, gallery and bistro. In other news, Oro Valley’s intended use of reclaimed water to fill a 2.5-acre, former irrigation pond within the Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve would be “a violation” of the conservation easement overlaying the 202-acre parcel, according to a claim filed with the town.
