The trainer you use whether it's a straight blade or a Karambit or any number of styles establishes the muscle memory for that one or so times you need to actually pull out your live blades for self defense. You will have your trainers in your hands 100s of times. These days as far as trainers are concerned what is available are for the most part dumbed down generic looking and feeling cartoon stage props that generally feel nothing like your actual knifes. Your choice in trainers is very important in terms of balance point and Design in relation to the knifes that you will depend on in those moments of Truth of self-defense and protection you don't want to train with something and then be unfamiliar with your own weapon when the time comes. Which is why I make realistic genuinely styled likenesses of traditional and personal carries so when that time comes your years of training will will not in the least way be in vain but will translate directly to your ability to yield your weapon effectively.
