It's the weekend! Enjoy this grainy cell phone footage (I should probably upgrade my phone some day). The Cochie Springs Trail is one of those little gems of a trail. Over by the Ritz but almost nobody except us crazy runner-folk venture far enough to see the backside of the Tortolitas. Always fun passing the tourists as you get within a half mile of the hotel 😉. I passed one family on the way back that stopped me to ask if there were any snakes in the area to which I of course replied Yes! I remember a time when I too was concerned about snakes; now I realize they are just part of the landscape and even look forward to coming across the desert critters on my runs.
