The Connecticut State Police K9 Unit is proud to announce the graduation of the 262nd Patrol K9 training class.

Upon graduation from the rigorous 16-week Patrol K9 course, these five K9 teams will return to their duties on Patrol throughout the State, with their assigned K9 partner. The graduating K9 teams will begin assisting law enforcement officers throughout the state by assisting in keeping our communities safe from violent crimes as well as locating lost or missing family members, locating important evidence, facilitating community engagement as well as many other responsibilities.

LODD - BOSTON, MA: A three alarm fire tore through a triple decker home on Treadway Road in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood Saturday night, quickly spreading through all three floors and prompting a large response from the BFD. During operations, a mayday was called after Rescue 2 firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr., a 24 year veteran and third generation Boston firefighter, fell from the third floor of the burning building. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Officials stated crews were able to knock down the heavy fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes, while the cause of the fire and circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation. Rest in peace, Brother.
