But did you know that many cultures believe there's another time each year when the spirit world draws near?

Known as Ghost Month, the seventh month of the lunar calendar is believed to be a time when the gates of the underworld open, allowing spirits to walk among the living. While some of these spirits are thought to be ancestors returning to visit loved ones, others are believed to be "hungry ghosts", restless souls with unfinished business or no descendants left to honor them.

One of the biggest questions in the paranormal world is:

Do spirits know they’re dead?

But what if the answer is more complicated than a simple yes or no?

Some believe that spirits who don’t realize they’ve passed away aren’t necessarily “stuck” for decades or centuries…

What if, from their perspective, it just happened?

What if time doesn’t exist the same way on the other side? What feels like 100 years to us could feel like only moments to them.
