When a child is diagnosed with DIPG/DMG, the entire family is affected. When a child dies, siblings often carry a lifetime of grief that can be difficult for others to understand.

Grieving siblings may struggle with loneliness, anxiety, guilt, anger, or feeling different from their peers. One of the most powerful forms of healing can be connecting with another sibling who truly "gets it"- someone who understands what it was like to love and lose a brother or sister to childhood cancer.

Connection reminds grieving siblings that they are not alone. Their feelings are valid. Their sibling's memory matters. And there are others walking a similar path beside them.

To all grieving siblings: your grief matters, your story matters, and you are never alone.
