Unfortunately the CTX area houses that where built from 1940's-1970's where built with ORANGEBURG Pipe installed for the main sewer drain pipe from your house to the main sewage line. They have a lifespan from 30-50 years. As you noticed the city has sent out letters about this knowing the lines are now starting to fail across the area and have hit the end of life for the pipe causing MAJOR issues and damage.
