Join us for a screening of Skateboard (1978, PG, 97 min.) at 5:30 on Tuesday at the library! It was the first feature film to depict the height of the 70s skateboard craze. Many refer to it as the Bad News Bears of the sport. It’s star studded cast includes Alan Garfield, 70s teen idol Leif Garrett, skateboarding legend Tony Alva, and iconic female freestyler and member of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame Ellen O’Neal. It’s also the first film Telluride local George Gage ever made! This screening is free and open to the public, but a hat will be passed for donations to a fund to provide scholarships (or is is skaterships?) for kids who want to attend Telluride Skateboard Camp and could use a little financial help.

New Series Alert! 🚨 Book Buzz begins tomorrow (May 12th) at the in Lawson Hill and will continue on the 2nd Tuesday of every month (May-Sept) from 5:30-6:30pm.
