She Laughs and Letters

I’m embarrassed to admit this...⠀
⠀
But I stayed up late last night playing a video game, and now I’m exhausted!⠀
⠀
I honestly don’t feel like I have time to play video games anymore, except for the occasional date night with my hubby or hilarious Mario games with friends. ⠀
⠀
I grew up with four boys (plus all their friends) and was a major tomboy! One of games we played quite a bit was Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2...and guys... they just re-released it! (If you’re into this PLEASE TELL ME!)⠀

My hubby and brother and I have been talking about it excitedly for months. And last night was the first time we got to try it! It brought back so many memories, but now I’m exhausted because, let’s be real, moms can’t sleep in 😅⠀

Even though today is Sunday, we’re home. It’s hard going to church when my hubby is on volunteer duty. Taking two girls into the sanctuary by myself with no childcare (and one of them needing to nurse) is difficult! ⠀

I guess it works out, since I need to take it easy after virtually skateboarding way into the night 😂😂⠀
⠀
Whether you’re at church or at home today, I hope you remember that God is the source of our strength. ⠀
⠀
I definitely think it’s important to get enough rest and keep our bodies healthy. But when we’re weary or exhausted, let’s look to Him. He’s gotten me through MUCH worse, and He is SO faithful. 💪

I wrote this prayer for a loved one the other day; and I may or may not have had a worship song playing in my mind as I wrote these words down 😊️🙈

Lord, please open their eyes to Your truth, hope, and peace.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Give them eyes to see You, that it may still their anxious heart.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
May they know that You are greater than the problems of this world, and that they can truly put their hope in You, above all the other things they once thought were their security.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Save them Lord!

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Psalms 79:9 (ESV) Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!

One awesome part about praying for someone’s salvation is that it’s all for the glory of God’s name. We pray on their behalf, live out the love of Christ, and speak truth, and God captivates and transforms hearts and minds. He gets all the glory!

Let’s pray that during this time of uncertainty, many would turn to Christ.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
