🍒 Cherry Butter

The only thing you'll want to spread on everything this summer
Cherry season is short and this is the best thing you can do with a fresh batch. Make a jar, keep it in the fridge, put it on everything.
Ingredients

2 cups fresh sweet cherries, pitted and halved

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp honey

¼ tsp cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Biscuits, cornbread, or toast to serve
Steps

Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add cherries, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
Cook 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cherries break down and the mixture thickens into a glossy, jammy butter.
Let cool slightly, then spoon generously over warm biscuits, cornbread, or toast.
Store leftovers in a jar in the fridge for up to one week.
