September is National Su***de Prevention Month.
It’s well documented that mental issues and su***de plague the military/veteran community.
I’ve lost more people after war than I did to it.
That’s why we all need to work to fight this tide that shatters itself on the shoreline of our community.
This is not just a military/veteran issue.
This is something that affects all of us.
This is a human issue.
It will take all of us to change it.
Social connections save lives.

Sometimes you don’t even know someone’s struggling. Check in on your strong friends .
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available.

We are here to be by your side for the long haul. The effects of cancer do end when treatment does. It doesn't end if the tumor is able to be removed or partially removed.
People who are not directly affected have a hard time understanding what is still happening in the families world when treatment stops.
Late effects of pediatric cancer treatment can impact many aspects of a child's health and well-being, including physical, cognitive, reproductive, and emotional aspects. Common effects include problems with learning and memory, heart conditions, endocrine dysfunction (affecting growth and fertility), and an increased risk of second cancers. Survivors may also experience chronic pain, anxiety, or depression.
