That’s a wrap on the 2026 5th Annual Melvin Loesch Alumni Baseball Game. Your Sweeny Alumni was able to walk away with their first ever win 10-3 this year! This years Most Valuable Player for the Sweeny Alumni was Cale Newsom, and for the Sweeny Bulldogs it goes to Jackson Pruitt. Thank you to the Sweeny Athletics Program, and Sweeny Baseball for allowing this awesome tradition to continue on. Thank you to Rolling Randy’s Bayou Boils Mama Bear’s Hot Diggity Dogs and S Town Legends for supplying awesome food! We also want to thank all of the fans that came out to support both teams. The Sweeny Alumni wishes the Bulldog Baseball Team the best of luck this season! GATA

Come out to the Sweeny High School Baseball Stadium this Saturday February 14th at 1 Pm as the Sweeny players of old battle it out against the current Bulldog Regime! The Sweeny Alumni will take on our Sweeny Bulldogs in a 7 inning winner take all battle! Come out and pack the stands and show that Bulldog Pride!

We will have numerous vendors on site with amazing food such Rolling Randy’s Bayou Boils and Mama Bear’s Hot Diggity Dogs!!! Come get your seafood and hot dog fix, and watch the greatest game, and teams on earth! We are challenging this amazing city to pack the stands and make it playoff baseball atmosphere!
