Penny for your thoughts
Why does high school cause so much pain?
No matter what I do
Its never enough
The halls are filled with nothing but judgement
I hate having to pass through
And hear it all every single day
Nothing but people talking about the clothes i wear
or how i style my hair
Or how quiet i can be
I cant escape the constant judgement
One wrong step
And they’ll attack me
Penny for your thoughts
Why do people change?
Friends are suppose to help you at your lowest
Not enhance the suffering
I can’t help but feel used and abused
The constant feeling of drowning
and as I try to gasp for air
I feel her pull me down
Deeper than I was before
I made a wrong step
She saw me fall
The world turned against me
And she followed along with the crowd

Do you ever get the feeling of panic?
The moments where an earthquake happens
throughout your body
The feeling of drowning coming back again
Do you feel your mouth dry up?
Do you feel the s-stutter that tries escape from the back of your throat?
As if your voice wants to harmonize with your heart beat
your heart beat gets faster and faster and faster
The voices get louder
and louder and louder
They won’t stop
they can’t stop
they will never-
A penny for your thoughts
You didnt leave?
You would be willing to spend a million pennies
Just to hear my thoughts
And you wont judge me
Or leave me…
