There is something powerful about watching your words. Yesterday I was in a department store picking up something for my father, and while I was there I decided I would take advantage of every moment. So I started getting my steps in, walking the aisles, moving while I waited. Before I knew it I had logged around 1,500 steps and I was excited about it. What blessed me was how many people were cheering me on. People were smiling, flashing their watches, saying they were on their own fitness journey too. It was such a beautiful reminder that discipline can inspire people.

Then I got to the register. I mentioned almost joyfully how many steps I had gotten in, and the cashier barked, “Well I’d lose weight too if I weren’t going through perimenopause.” I looked at her and said, “I’m going through perimenopause too, and I’m losing weight.” She said, “Well I can’t.” I said, “Yes, you can.” She said, “No, I can’t.” I told her, “Hormonal issues may make it more challenging, but they do not make it impossible. You have to educate yourself if you want to win the hormonal battle.” Then she said, “Well maybe for you, but not for me.” Then she added, “I’m diabetic too.” And I almost said, “Diabetics lose weight too.” But I stopped, because the Holy Spirit interrupted me. I heard within myself, leave it alone. Because you cannot talk someone out of a mindset they are committed to protecting.

And right there at that register it hit me. This is not about perimenopause. This is not about diabetes. This is about agreement. Agreement with defeat. Agreement with limitation. Agreement with stuckness. As I walked back to my car still getting my steps in, Holy Spirit began talking to me. I said, “Lord, what was that?” And I sensed Him say, She is not bound first by hormones. She is bound by the words coming out of her mouth. Then I heard Him ask me, What if you watched your words and thoughts in every area of your life the way you are learning to watch them here? And I felt convicted.

Because I realized something. I am seeing progress in the midst of PCOS, in the midst of perimenopause, not because these things are not real, but because I refuse to let them become prophecy over my life. I refuse to let a diagnosis have a louder voice than discipline. I refuse to let obstacles name my outcome. The Word says death and life are in the power of the tongue, Proverbs 18:21. And Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Not some things. All things. Including hard things. Including hormonal things. Including things that require education, strategy, and warfare.

And let me say something. A month or so ago I made a post about weight loss and some people got upset. Then they got even more upset when I said, stay stuck. But I meant it. Because that is exactly what the wrong mindset and a slew of excuses will do. Keep you stuck while others are moving. Keep you defending why you cannot while others are learning how they can. Some people are loyal to their excuses and then resent people who challenge them. But beloved, for every obstacle you can think of, somebody has overcome it. Every single one.

Stop worshiping your barriers. Stop rehearsing impossibility. Stop partnering with “I can’t,” because “I can’t” is often a prison built with words. Some of you have been speaking yourself into bo***ge. Watch your mouth. Watch your thoughts. Watch your agreements. Because sometimes the warfare is not even the obstacle, it is the language you keep using about the obstacle. Many people do not need more information. They need a new confession.

You can stay in the lane of excuses if you want. Stay stuck if you want. But I have decided I will not let challenges become my identity. I will educate myself. I will fight. I will move. I will believe God. And I will keep proving that what many call impossible is often unchallenged thinking. Watch your words. They are carrying your future.

If you’ve been dreaming of turtles, snails, sloths, worms, caterpillars, koalas, slugs, seahorses, manatees, or even pandas, you are not just having strange dreams, you are being warned. These animals are prophetic symbols, and they represent more than slow movement. They point to spiritual delay, stagnation, time manipulation, and demonic interference sent to derail your divine pace.

These spirits partner with the spirit of delay to keep you moving in circles, stuck in patterns, and out of alignment with divine timing. And if you don’t confront them, you will start calling warfare “the process” while your promise is being stolen in plain sight. You’ll miss divine flights, arrive late to appointments with destiny, and take ten years to walk through a door that was only open for ten weeks.

Each animal carries a message. The turtle represents heavy, hard-shelled delay that’s difficult to shake. The snail reveals tormenting procrastination, inch-by-inch movement in areas where you should be running.

💤The sloth represents spiritual laziness, sleepiness, and a dangerous lack of urgency.

💤The worm symbolizes internal decay, erosion of value, and slow spiritual consumption.

💤The caterpillar, when it does not transform, indicates arrested development and unfinished growth.

💤The koala appears peaceful, but in dreams it can symbolize emotional comfort that has turned into spiritual passivity.

💤The slug is a warning about slimy residue and secret stagnation that clings to you.

💤The seahorse, often floating aimlessly, represents spiritual misalignment and drifting. The manatee reflects emotional heaviness and generational weights that slow you down.

💤The panda may look harmless, but it represents self-soothing behaviors and spiritual cycles rooted in distraction and comfort.

This is not natural. It is demonic. God is a God of movement, progression, divine order, and timing. The spirit realm is not governed by time, but your purpose on earth is. Time is a gift to man, and every curse and every blessing is time-sensitive. That means you don’t have forever. The door won’t stay open forever. The season won’t always be ripe. There is such a thing as missing your moment. And the spirit of delay is cunning enough to talk you into accepting slow movement like it’s holy when really it’s warfare.

If these dreams are showing up, you must pray. You must fast. You must go into the spirit realm and break the attachment of these animals from your life, your destiny, and your calling. Declare war against delay and reclaim your pace in the Spirit. Say with fire, I will not move slow. I will not miss my time. I move in divine speed and nothing will delay my destiny.

You weren’t called to crawl. You were called to run your race and finish it strong.
