Honest question...

When was the last time you took an entire day for yourself without feeling guilty?

I think many women have forgotten what true rest even feels like.

That's one reason the Sacred Saturday Retreat Weekend keeps tugging at my heart.

We weren't created to live exhausted.

Two weeks ago, I attended an out-of-state women's Christian fellowship retreat.

It was such a meaningful experience that I already know I'll be attending again.

I came home inspired.

Not because of a speaker.

Not because of a program.

But because of the genuine connections that happened when women stepped away from their busy lives long enough to simply be together.

It reminded me of something I've been feeling ever since we moved.

Four years ago when we moved, I never imagined how difficult it would be to find deep friendships as an adult.

Life gets busy.

People are busy.

Before you know it, months go by without meaningful connection.

That retreat reminded me how much we all need spaces where we can slow down, share our stories, encourage one another, and build authentic relationships.

Not networking.

Not small talk.

Real connection.

One of the saddest things I hear is, "I'm not creative."

I don't believe that.

Life gets busy. We spend so much time taking care of others, meeting deadlines, running errands, and carrying responsibilities that we rarely make space to simply be.

We stop dreaming.

We stop listening.

We stop resting.
