It’s better to exercise 15-20 minutes than not at all, so let's plan some time to rev up our metabolism every day. The calories burned are cumulative and help us stay fit! Jump ropes are inexpensive and are easily packed in a suitcase when we travel!

Found this and thought I would share!
How to talk to our daughters about their bodies:
First...let's don't talk to our daughters about their bodies, except to teach them how it works. Don't say anything if they've lost weight. Don't say anything if they've gained weight. And if we think our daughter's body looks amazing, let's don't say that either! Here are some things we can say instead:
"You look so healthy!" Or, "You're looking so strong." Or, "I can see how happy you are -- you're glowing." Better yet, let's compliment them on something that has nothing to do with their bodies.
Don't comment on other women's bodies either. Nope...not a single comment, nice or mean. Let's teach them about kindness toward others, but also kindness toward ourselves.
And let's not talk about how much we hate our own bodies in front of them or talk about a "diet," either. Buy healthy food. Cook healthy meals. But let's not say, "I'm not eating carbs right now." Our daughters should never think that carbs or fats are evil, because shame over what we eat only leads to shame about ourselves.
Let's encourage our daughters to "move" because it reduces stress. Encourage them to climb mountains because there's nowhere better to explore spirituality than the peak of the universe! Encourage our them to surf, or rock climb, or mountain bike because it scares them and that's a good thing sometimes!
Let's help our daughters love soccer or rowing or hockey because sports make them better leaders and more confident women. We can explain that no matter how old we get, we'll never stop needing good teamwork. And let's never make them play a sport they aren't absolutely in love with...they need to discover who they are, not who everyone else wants them to be.
We can prove to our daughters that women don't need men to move their furniture. And we can teach them how to cook kale AND how to bake chocolate cake made with six sticks of butter.
Let's pass along our own mom's recipe for Christmas morning coffee cake, as well as our love of being outside.
Maybe you and/or your daughter have thick thighs or wide ribcages. Don't disparage these non-size zero body parts. With those legs we can run marathons, if we want! A large ribcage is a carrying case for strong lungs. We can sing and we can lift up the world, if we want!
But most of all, let's remind our daughters that the best thing they can do with their bodies is to use it to mobilize their beautiful souls. After all, that's who we really are, right?
