Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders have made countless contributions to our shared history and culture. At EverTrue, our Asian and Pacific Americans residents, clients and staff help to enrich our communities and programs. During the month of May, we celebrate their significance to our past and the important role they play in our present and future.

Did you know Hylton Point II has a community garden (with raised beds) along with a workshop held twice a month and led by Ernest Wills, a master gardener and volunteer? All produce grown is harvested by residents for their enjoyment! 🌱

This past week, residents were harvesting Red Russian kale (which taste similar to collard greens, but sweeter), collard, spinach and lettuce. According to Mr. Wills, once the spring garden is finished, a summer garden and fall garden will be planted and harvested by residents.
