While we can agree that sickness and disease in the earth is a result of sin, as a church we must examine our stance on the existence of sickness and disease in the person. Also, we can agree satan uses sickness and disease to attack mankind with infirmities. Luke mentions the healing of evil spirits AND infirmities.

Unfortunately, when it comes to mental illness we have been historically guilty of demonizing the existence of a mental health diagnosis. It's the hour where we MUST exercise the POWER of discernment to serve God's people effectively in prayer and in spiritual guidance.
