European HIMARS Initiative (EHI) VIII culminated with a Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise (CALFEX) between U.S. Soldiers and NATO Allies in support of the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative.

The event demonstrated lethal, multinational synchronization of long-range precision fires, aviation assets, and maneuver forces to strengthen interoperability and showcase V Corps’ ability to provide commanders with multiple battlefield options in a dynamic operational environment. The exercise reinforced NATO Allies’ ability to shoot, move, and communicate as one force while enhancing collective lethality, readiness, and deterrence across NATO’s Eastern Flank.

Following the exercise, Maj. Gen. Maciej Jablonski, V Corps Deputy Commanding General of Interoperability, was inducted into the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara by Col. Frank Maxwell, Commander of the 41st Field Artillery Brigade, in recognition of his contributions to the Field Artillery community and multinational fires integration efforts.
