The Big Cheese

To our beloved Big Cheese customers,

Four years ago, Dave and I started The Big Cheese at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market with hopes that we could bring a delicious product to the market and add to the wonderful offerings that we always enjoyed as customers.

In our four years of operation, we have enjoyed everything the market has offered - from spectacular vendors to the opportunity to serve our customers the best grilled cheese sandwiches in St. Louis! Along the way, our customers became our friends, and we looked forward to seeing you every week.

Today we announce that the time has come for us to move on. The Big Cheese is moving to The Big Apple! We will be setting up shop in New York this spring.

As we begin this grand adventure, we would like to take a moment to thank you, our customers, for supporting us the past four years. To say we've enjoyed sharing our Saturday mornings with you is an understatement. You have been with us on the hottest St. Louis summer days, and even on the gloomy rainy ones. You looked forward to our wedding with us, and watched our family (and my belly) grow as we awaited the birth of our baby boy last summer. Your friendship and encouragement has meant the world to us, and we will miss you dearly.

We hope that if you ever find yourselves in New York, you will stop by and enjoy a Big Cheese with us!

Happy Saturday! It's going to be another beautiful day at the market!

Today's Special: Gouda with Chow Chow. What is Chow Chow? (I had to ask Dave myself!) Chow Chow is a delicious mix of pickled vegetables - green tomatoes, corn, red onion, cabbage and green beans. I had one for dinner last night and it was fantastic. See you at the market!
