Instead of a typical summer break, West High rising senior Adler Donaldson is spending his days as a paid apprentice at Hydromat, Inc., a precision transfer-machinery manufacturer. He is one of two Parkway students who secured an apprenticeship this year through the Career WayZ Youth Apprenticeship Accelerator program.

Students spent the past semester collaborating across curricular areas to build a chicken coop from scratch, and we followed the process from start to finish.
