Have you ever noticed that the biggest turning points in life usually begin with something falling apart?
A relationship ends.
Your health changes.
You lose a job.
An addiction finally catches up with you.
The anxiety you've been managing suddenly becomes overwhelming.
In the moment, those experiences feel like the end of the story.
Looking back at my own life, I see them differently.
The hardest seasons weren't always punishment...
Sometimes they were an invitation.
An invitation to stop depending on what wasn't working and begin searching for what would.
It's rarely comfortable.
But sometimes the very thing we wish hadn't happened becomes the moment that changes the direction of our lives.
Scripture reminds us:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him..."
— Romans 8:28
Not everything that happens is good.
But God has a way of bringing good out of what happens.
Maybe the struggle you're facing today isn't the end of your story.
Maybe it's the beginning of a new direction.

You Become What You Repeatedly Practice
Have you ever noticed how the biggest changes in life rarely happen all at once?
Most of us don't wake up one morning unhealthy, disconnected, or struggling in our relationships. We get there one small decision at a time. The encouraging part is that the journey back works exactly the same way.
Looking back at my own life, I didn't overcome twelve years of addiction in a weekend. I didn't suddenly become healthier, more grateful, or more hopeful. Those things grew little by little as I began making small decisions that pointed me in a different direction.
I've come to believe that peace is practiced.
Gratitude is practiced.
Better health is practiced.
Even faith grows stronger through the little choices we make every day.
Science shows that repeated actions strengthen the pathways in our brain until they become habits. The more we practice something, the easier it becomes, whether it's gratitude, worry, kindness, or fear.
Long before neuroscience could explain it, Scripture pointed us in the same direction:
"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9
I've always loved when science catches up to God's design. It reminds me that truth doesn't change. We simply discover more of it over time.
Maybe today your next step is taking a short walk.
Maybe it's choosing a healthier meal, or putting your phone down long enough to notice the sunset.
Maybe, it's simply thanking God for one blessing you've overlooked.
Every small decision is a chance to return.
None of those things seem life-changing by themselves.
But they quietly change the direction of your life... one step back toward God's perfect design.
