Kruz General Contractor and Remodel

Here is my first project from start to finish. I demoed and gutted the wall behind the original cabinetry. Although I wish I had taken before and after photos, this project was completed 25 years ago, and the pictures I have were taken last week. Nevertheless, it looks the same, with the exception of new floors and appliances, just as it did the day I finished. Down to the faucet, plumbing and electrical work.

What’s on my mind is I see a trend of companies that want to employ people with skilled trades that can basically wear 5 different hats and would like to have a certification in one of three fields plumbing electrical or HVAC. They want one person to do the job of five different people and pay them maybe $30-$35 an hour. 10 years ago this might’ve been a good rate but 30 an hr in today’s market is a steal and take out your over head, insurance and gas let you decide. Hope you get what you’re worth today!
