Behind the learning, some days are big emotional, can’t focus, meltdown days.
So instead of stopping learning we shift the energy. Today we played “Guess in 10”.
It looks like a simple game, but this game teaches children to practice listening, thinking, problem solving, and social skills all at once.
We played for a solid hour because, the kids kept asking to play again.
We will take that W for the day

Quick update for our families and community
We’re now moving all communication, messages, updates, payments, and paperwork over to Brightwheel.
Everything in one place for easier, clearer, less stress for everyone.
And don’t worry we will STILL be sharing our weekly learning, classroom moments, and all the fun things happening inside NurtureDen right here on social media.
Also, August enrollment for our hands-on learning for ages 3–4 is OPEN. (DM FOR DETAILS)
If you’re looking for a space where your child is actively learning, growing, and building real skills through play and intentional teaching, we’d love to connect with you.
Spots are limited.
This little guy insisted to learn to read at 3. One year, one child-led journey, and a whole lot of confidence gained.
Proud is an understatement!

If I could go back, id tell myself to slow down, trust small progress, and repeat everything more than you think you need to when it comes to teaching kids to read.

And just like that, our very first graduation ceremony has concluded.
What started as a group of curious children became a classroom family filled with creativity, laughter, friendship, and so much learning. We celebrated big milestones, worked through hard moments, asked countless questions, and created memories that will stay with us for years to come.
My heart is so full tonight. Congratulations, graduates.

One of the biggest differences we implement in our learning room is creating experiences that feel natural and playful. While, still intentionally building strong academic foundations.
Children are tracing, matching, storytelling, drawing, labeling, pretending, and creating in their independent time.
Which is done with intent, of course! To purposely strengthening the exact skills they’ll need for confident spelling, reading, writing, and independent learning!
Our goal isn’t rush academics. It’s to build confident learners who genuinely enjoy learning!
The entire rhythm of our learning room changed when we embraced independent work.
Some of the sweetest moments in our classroom happen in the in-between.
Busy bins have become such a grounding part of our rhythm. They help our transitions feel calm, purposeful, and full of discovery while giving the children space to explore on their own, the lessons we have been learning.

What a successful market!!
These kids worked so hard preparing for today’s market, and watching them confidently share what they made was such a special moment. They weren’t just selling crafts or creations. They were practicing communication, creativity, responsibility, problem solving, and confidence in such a real and meaningful way.
You guys showed up in the best way possible. Thank you for supporting the children, encouraging them, shopping their booths, and making this day feel so special for them. It turned out so beautifully, and the joy in our space was something I know the kids will remember for a long time.
We love the work we are doing here at Nurtureden, and we are so thankful for the families who continue to grow this beautiful community with us.
