Jennifer Merritt for County Board

With over 4,100 ballots cast in County Board District 25, only 7 votes separated me from my opponent. After speaking with my family, friends, and supporters, I have decided to file for a discovery recount in County Board District 25. I would be doing a disservice to everyone who believed in me if I didn’t see this process through to the end. I am looking forward to making sure that every vote is counted correctly.

A great day today mobilizing voters ahead of Election Day. Our supporters knocked on over 400 doors today and we’ll be back at it tomorrow. The finish line is in sight but the work isn’t done yet. I’m not going to stop working to earn your vote until the polls close on Tuesday.

I went to early vote and was given the wrong ballot. I only noticed after not finding my own name as a candidate. This also happened to me when I voted in the primary election.

My campaign is focused on putting People over Politics.

I am very proud to stand with the hardworking men and women of Sangamon County and look forward to being a voice on the board that workers can trust and rely on.

This is both sad and reprehensible that our county government allowed this broken culture of misconduct to occur. The County Board has a responsibility to provide oversight over the different departments of county government. This report shows that for years our County Board failed at one of their main job duties.

This weekend we talked with our neighbors in Westchester and Sherwood. We also enjoyed a fun morning at Carve for the Carillon and carved pumpkins for their walk next weekend. What a great event. 🎃
