Favorite lab departments: Microbiology, Hematology, and Blood Banking

Pie says, "After trying to get a degree in biology, I stumbled upon MLS by accident on a brochure. Once I learned the layout of the program, I immediately applied. MLS not only taught me the skills of diagnosis/prognosis of disease but aided me in my leadership skills. I finally found a community that I can fit in and feel like I belong. Everyone in the community is so helpful in expanding skill sets and technical skills. My favorite disciplines are microbiology, Hematology, and blood banking. After graduation, I am planning on getting my masters in MLS while working. Once I rack up my experience, I'm planning on applying for the CDC to do research while also getting my DCLS. MLS was the best choice I could've made for my career. I'm excited to see what this path has for me."
