Heaven gained some puppy angel wings yesterday, as we had to say goodbye to my sweet Kailey. Mommies heart hurts for you but you are at peace baby girl. No more having to wear that cone or taking daily pills you don’t have to hurt anymore, your free. Mommy wasn’t going to let that cancer eat anyway at you. I tried everything I could this time around, and made the best decision for you.

You melted my heart the moment I meet you 13 years ago, and are my hardest goodbye. I miss you snuggles already and the space beside where you laid curled up has lost it’s warmth. It was incredible hard coming home and through the doors without seeing you run to greet me, but I know you are better where you are now.

You are free to roam and run all the green fields, swim in as many lakes and rivers as you see, meet some amazing doggie friends, and eat all the treats you see. Yo are free to sit in the sun as long as you like watching all the sunsets and sunrises smelling and sitting in fields of flowers. Having the wind whip through you fluffy curly hair as you wait for US to be reunited again.

You were my protector, my adventurous pup, my shadow who I spoiled rotten and I hope heaven spoils you as much as I did until we can see each other again.

I know you are watching down on us, and I can’t wait to get that Kailey greeting, and run my hands through your curly fur again. I will love you forever, baby girl, until we can be together again.
