Uhhhh... I just counted and we have 54 chicks currently spread out between 3 brooders and another hatch due this weekend... 😅🥰😮
Is this worthy of the status: Crazy Chicken Lady?
On that note I have updated what's looking to fly and need these littles with new families by the end of this weekend! 🎀💓😀🐣

Day 20 🐣✨️💕🎀
Who else has been dealing with a crazy amount of predators this year? 🖐
I want to know what kind you all have been dealing with and how many birds they have set you back.😭
We have had 4 Foxes, 5 Racoons, and 2 Skunks.
Thankfully none of our coops have been able to be broken into. But that hasn't stopped these critters from trying or from learning our patterns with our free-ranging egg-eating flock.
We have lost about 10 birds this year and that is with MANY plans made to keep them safer and long nights to make that happen.
There is 1 Racoon and 1 Skunk left making attempts at our poultry. Hopefully soon we won't have to worry for a bit about these guys coming around the property.

I finally named her....Cashmere.
This beauty is an F3 Blue Wheaten Olive Egger we hatched about 8 or 9 weeks ago.
She is sweet, stunning, and we can't wait to see what color her eggs turn out to be as we continue watching her grow out!

These birds are not only STUNNING and Rainbow Eggers, they are also EASILY Feather Sexable by 2-3 weeks of age!
Sure...it's not at hatch like Cream Legbars, but it IS the next best thing! 💛
I have had several people inquire how to feather s*x Wheatens over the past few months, so I thought I'd share an example!
These are two of our Wheaten Marans, they just turned 2 Weeks Old.
Males will have darker coloring on their wing feathers, while Females will keep the lighter wheaten color throughout. ✨️🐣🌼💛✨️
This same idea works with the Wheaten Ameraucanas and Wheaten Olive Eggers.
