Clear View Filtration DOES NOT RECOMMEND ANY MODIFICATIONS to any of our Filter Assemblies. We will also not be selling any filter bases separately for people that screw-up the filter trying to modify the by-pass pressure relief valve or base in any way. This is because we don't know how modifications would affect the filter tops without testing.

Clear View will not be making any changes to our by-pass (or filter base) design because of the concerns that have came up just recently. We believe that the current design is the best. We want to by-pass oil if either filter media was to restrict oil for any reason.

Again, we are Sorry for the doubts about our Products and for any inconvenience to our loyal customers caused by all of this.
