Good Dog Training

They can hear you just fine, even if they aren’t looking your way. You don’t need to say their name over and over… just give the command.

A huge part of resolving reactivity is teaching dogs to interact appropriately with other dogs. Most have been isolated from dogs for a long time and have little to no experience with normal social interactions.

It’s why part of my reactivity training involves meeting new dogs. It’s why I do off-leash group hikes. Because formerly reactive dogs deserve to be treated like normal dogs.

Skye is in this part of her training, and I’m having her meet other dogs to build confidence around them and improve social skills.
