6am. Woke up early and enjoyed the calm before the storm.
I just love being nap trapped. I can do all the things I love at one time. I can work on my crochet, I can take a rest, I can drink coffee, I can watch a show, I can listen to a book, I could read a book. Literally all my favorite options are available to me while I’m doing the best thing of all: snuggling my babe.
This reminds me of my mom so much. One day we wake up and we are our mothers, am I right? For better or for worse. I do like this jacket though ❤️

I am not starting ANY NEW PROJECTS in 2026. I am only finishing the ones I have started. Crocheting is the perfect nap trapped activity; I can only scroll for so long. Today I’m working on a scrap yarn c2c blanket. This one will likely not get finished this year since I’m just using scraps, but I like that I get to switch color so quickly and it works up quickly too. I also have a temperature blanket for 2024 I need to finish (only got to July that year) and a blanket for my 13yo daughter; my goal for that one is just by her 18th bday though hahaha. It will take me that long I bet 🤦♀️
Avocados are such great first foods but soooo messy. Breadcrumbs help little fingers grab!
