Island Veterinary Service
We have mid to late morning appointments available for this Friday, June 5th on the islands!
Other appointments available every Friday thereafter.
Already have a veterinarian? Great! Many of our island pets do have a regular mainland veterinarian.
We're happy to work alongside your regular clinic. Sudden illnesses and injuries don't always happen at convenient times, and getting to the mainland on short notice can be difficult.
That's why we're here — to provide convenient island care for residents, seasonal visitors, and traveling pets alike. Think of us as an extension of your pet's healthcare team!

Annual wellness visits are one of the most important parts of keeping pets healthy 🐾
Pets age much faster than we do, and a lot can change in just one year. Annual physical exams, bloodwork, and preventive care help us catch problems early — before pets show obvious signs of illness.
Routine visits can help detect:
• Kidney or liver disease
• Joint pain and arthritis
• Dental disease
• Heart conditions
• Weight changes
• Parasites and infectious diseases
and more!
Yearly exams are a key part of care for pets taking prescription medications. Physical exams and bloodwork help ensure medications are working properly, doses remain appropriate, and pets aren’t developing side effects over time.
Because most of our patients live on islands, regular preventive care is especially important — it helps avoid emergencies, since traveling to the mainland may not always be easy or immediate.
Our goal is simple: keep your pets healthy, comfortable, and by your side for as many years as possible 🐩 🤍 🐈⬛
