✨ Employee Spotlight ✨
Please join us in congratulating Abby, our June Employee of the Month!
Although Abby is one of the newest members of our team, she has already made an incredible impact. She first joined Center for Positive Change as an intern and quickly became an invaluable part of our organization. Today, she is the friendly face that welcomes everyone who walks through our doors, greeting each person with kindness, compassion, and a genuine smile.
This month, we are especially recognizing Abby for the way she has stepped in and stepped up, not only to care for our clients, but also to support her coworkers through unexpected hardships. Whether she’s covering where she’s needed, offering a helping hand, or simply bringing positivity to the office, Abby consistently demonstrates what it means to be a team player.
We are so grateful for her dedication, her positive attitude, her willingness to help wherever needed, and the compassion she shows every single day.
Congratulations, Abby, and thank you for making Center for Positive Change a warmer, more welcoming place for our clients, staff, and community. We are so lucky to have you on our team!
June may be coming to a close, but the conversation about men’s mental health shouldn’t end with the month.
Too often, men are taught to “tough it out,” keep their feelings to themselves, or believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness. The truth is, strength isn’t found in silence: it’s found in the courage to speak up, to ask for support, and to take care of yourself.
Mental health affects everyone, and no one should have to struggle alone.
As Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, we encourage you to keep checking in with the men in your life—not just today, but all year long. A simple conversation, a listening ear, or reminding someone they’re not alone can make a meaningful difference.
If you’re struggling, know this: asking for help is one of the strongest things you can do. Healing starts with a conversation.
Let’s keep the conversation going, this month and every month. 💙

Today, we honor Juneteenth: a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history.
Juneteenth is both a celebration of freedom and a reminder that the work of creating equitable, inclusive communities continues. At Center for Positive Change, we recognize that mental health, healing, and well-being are deeply connected to justice, dignity, and belonging.
We stand alongside our Black community members, clients, colleagues, and neighbors and are committed to fostering a world where every person is valued, heard, and empowered to thrive.
As we reflect on the meaning of this day, may we continue learning, listening, and working together to build stronger, more compassionate communities.

Please join us in congratulating Charlie, our May Employee of the Month!
As our Counseling Referral Manager, Charlie is often the very first person people connect with when they reach out to our office. If you’ve called us, chances are she’s been the friendly voice on the other end of the line.
Charlie plays a vital role in helping individuals and families take the first step toward support by connecting them with the counselor who best fits their needs or helping them find other resources when needed. She approaches every conversation with patience, kindness, and genuine care.
Behind the scenes, Charlie is truly the hub of our office. She keeps things running smoothly, supports our team in countless ways, and helps ensure that every person who contacts us feels welcomed and supported.
We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, compassion, and hard work. Thank you, Charlie, for everything you do to help create positive change in our community! ❤️
🌈 Happy Pride Month from Center for Positive Change 🌈
At Center for Positive Change, our mission is rooted in strengthening individuals, families, and our community through nonviolence, healing, and positive change.
This Pride Month, we celebrate the courage it takes to live authentically and the strength of those who have advocated for a world where everyone can be seen, heard, and valued. We recognize that many LGBTQ+ individuals continue to face barriers that impact their mental health, well-being, and sense of belonging. That is why creating safe, affirming, and inclusive spaces is so important to us.
Our vision is a community where all people feel safe, seen, respected, and supported. We are committed to fostering an environment where every person who walks through our doors is met with compassion, dignity, and acceptance.
To our LGBTQ+ clients, colleagues, families, and community members: thank you for trusting us with your stories, your journeys, and your healing. Your resilience, authenticity, and contributions make our community stronger.
This month, and every month, we stand with you.
With pride,
Center for Positive Change

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and today on Mental Health Professionals Day, we want to recognize and celebrate the incredible individuals who show up every day to support healing, hope, and positive change in our community. 💚
At Center for Positive Change, our mental health professionals do far more than provide services: they listen without judgment, advocate fiercely, walk alongside people in their hardest moments, and help individuals and families rediscover strength within themselves.
Today we honor:
Alex, Camden, Christian, Emily, Janet, Jen, Karissa, Michael, Michelle, Neil, Raychel, Richie, Shelby, and Steve.
Thank you for the compassion you give, the emotional weight you carry, the lives you impact, and the safe spaces you create every single day. The work you do matters deeply, even on the days you may not realize just how much.
Your dedication is changing lives and strengthening our community every day. We are grateful for each of you. 💚

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of someone who meant so much to our CPC family and the community we serve.
Lisa was more than a colleague. She was a steady presence, a problem-solver, and a deeply compassionate professional who believed wholeheartedly in our mission. Her passion for this work was evident in everything she did, and the impact she made on our clients and our team cannot be overstated.
In honor of her dedication, commitment, and the lasting difference she made, we are naming Lisa our Honorary Employee of the Month for April.
While we mourn her loss, we also carry forward the example she set, showing up with care, integrity, and an unwavering belief in the importance of this work. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever a part of CPC.
Our thoughts are with her loved ones and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Thank you for everything, Mama Lisa 🤍
