Yesterday, I voted “No” on the House re-write of the legislative audit law. While I agree with my Democratic colleagues that the separation of powers doctrine of our state constitution limits the scope of the audit, I also think the Supreme Judicial Court should get the chance to rule on the scope of the audit.

On Wednesday evening, I attended a deeply moving Holocaust Commemoration at the Tremont Street Shul. Our guest speaker was Lev Igolnikov, who as a young boy fled thousands of miles from his home in the Soviet Union when the N***s invaded in 1941 — when he finally returned home, he found all four of his grandparents and many relatives had been murdered in the Holocaust. It is another sober reminder that the world must be steadfast in ensuring Never Again truly means never again.
