Innovation is a long game.

It starts with curiosity.
It grows through skill.
It compounds when knowledge gets shared.

This season is a reminder that building matters at every stage.

Happy Holidays from Invent Mentors.

Big ideas start small.

Who’s the unexpected person who helped a young innovator shine this year?

Kid Invent Mentors has introduced me to the most inspiring education changemakers. Teachers, parents, volunteers, community leaders, and kids who surprise you with their ideas, their kindness, and their drive.

I’m thankful for the people who make space for youth to dream.
The ones who say “try it,” “build it,” “let’s explore it,” and “you’ve got this.”
The ones who nudge kids toward confidence and curiosity.

Your support is what turns spark moments into real growth.

To everyone helping young creators take their next step, we see you.
We’re here to back your goals, your classrooms, and your kids.

Who’s that person you’re thankful for today?

What an inspiring week of learning, connection, and collaboration!

This last week I attended the InventEd Convening, and it far surpassed my expectations. I met incredible people from all over the world who are making real change in youth innovation, one student at a time.
I spent the week with the InventEd community, learning from leaders at the intersection of AI, innovation, and education.

• Turned conversations into new relationships
• Swapped playbooks on AI for youth and adult innovators
• Left with ideas I can apply right away

In addition to that, I was asked to host the Innovation World Alliance meeting, and it was such an honor to do so alongside Paula Intravaia for Juli Shively. What an amazing group of collaborators, and an especially inspiring young inventor, Arnov, who’s already building a future full of impact.

My network is stronger, my AI-in-innovation toolkit is sharper, and my belief in what’s possible through collaboration is deeper than ever. Innovation thrives when great minds unite to make an impact.

How has a networking event or collaboration impacted your work?

Today I thought it would be fun in the spirit of candy giving on Halloween that we do a fun Trivia question.

Your turn: Where did the name “lollipop” come from?
A) A racehorse named Lolly Pop
B) “Lolly” (tongue) + “pop” (slap)
C) A Romani phrase meaning “red apple”

Celebrate Halloween like an inventor. Drop your answer to today’s candy trivia.

Have a Great Halloween for those who Celebrate!
