There are fun parts of being on the school board! Follow my trustee page if you haven't already and have a great weekend!
Thank you to the Simi Valley Public Library and Simi Educators Association for the invite to join the community in celebrating Read Across America Day! I had the joy of reading kids a story about a dinosaur in a library.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported our campaign in any way. We’ve maintained our lead with each update, and the results are now near final. I look forward to serving Simi students, teachers, school staff, and parents in this new capacity as a trustee. It takes a community.

Thank you to our veterans today and every day.
Veterans Day is a day to honor those who have served in the U.S. Military. It is a time to express gratitude to those who have sacrificed to preserve our freedom. We honor the brave individuals throughout history who served to protect the safety and rights of Americans.
Many CSEA members are military veterans who have continued their public service in California’s public schools as classified school employees.
All CSEA offices are closed today.

If you have one of my signs, thank you so much for displaying your support. Please hold on to it, as it may be used again. We will be announcing a wrap-up event once election results are final. You can bring it there, or I am happy to pick it up or have you keep it.

Well, we did it. Tomorrow is the last day to vote. It has been a long road, and I have felt supported by the community of Simi Valley every step of the way. My grandfather always told me the best place to make a difference is in your own neighborhood. I think he’d be proud.

When I urged Eric to join the Simi Valley Education Foundation, I had no idea how much I would learn from working together. I'm very proud of what we've been able to accomplish for our Simi schools.
Mike James has what it takes As we approach our day when we get to exercise our civic duty to vote, the Simi Valley Unified School Board needs to have a good mix of people from diverse back

Here is someone who cares about our community and schools. It's reassuring to me to have the support of so many Simi teachers who also send their kids to school here. Thanks, Andrew.
Incumbents and James for SVUSD I am a resident of Simi Valley. My wife and I are both teachers in Simi Valley. Our three daughters are students in Simi Valley. I am writing to support Mike Ja

Happy Halloween! 🎃 The only real scary thing this spooky season is not voting. Knocking on doors and connecting with our Simi neighbors has been a real treat. I approach everyone with honesty, no tricks.

It’s my favorite time of the year. I had the privilege of serving on the Simi Valley Education Foundation's enhancement grant selection committee, and I got to deliver checks to our schools this week for teachers to use in their classrooms.
Congrats to Sycamore and Santa Susana Elementary, Valley View Middle School, and Santa Susana and Simi Valley High School. These are just five of the many schools that received funds. It is so cool to see the money I raised go right to the classroom.
Among the areas that we help support are language arts, STEM, libraries, art, and PE equipment. Additionally, working with district, we found funds that already existed for some teachers' needs.

After Simi High, I went to Moorpark College, where I refined my fine arts skills that led to a successful career in marketing, creative, and technical communications.
I thank VCCCD Trustee Bernardo Perez for his endorsement and proudly support his re-election. Over the past 14 years on the board, he has played a role in making Moorpark College the #1 community college in California and one of the top 10 in the country in the Aspen Institute's College Excellence Program. VCCCD is the only multi-campus district to have all colleges in the top 150 nationwide. I applaud their collaboration with Simi schools and providing of pathways for students to UC schools and local high-paying jobs.
