I remember I had to talk the homeowner into adding this granite boulder. She's ALL about the plants so didn't get why we'd take up space with a big rock. I promised it would anchor the space and provide opportunity for plants to pop up in front or peak out from behind. It worked! It gives this corner a sense of permanence and she's happy with her rock.
