Diverse Harmony relies on the support of our community.

Friends,

As you know, Diverse Harmony was founded in 2002 as the first youth chorus to provide a space for both members of the LGBTQ+ and their allies to express themselves through choral music in the Pacific Northwest. After taking a hiatus following the pandemic, we are thrilled to build this community of voices once again. And in 2025, it feels more important than ever before.

For nearly 25 years, Diverse Harmony has been providing a space for young singers and adults to celebrate and support artistic expression while strengthening local communities. It was the first LGBTQ youth chorus to perform at the 2004 GALA Chorus Festival in Montreal, Canada, and at the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago, IL. Since Diverse Harmony’s first performance, many new LGBTQ youth choruses have been started around the globe.

Fluidity of the South Sound is a new SSAA choir that embraces diversity and has a passion for building community. We gather in song to pay it forward to organizations in our community who work to provide services that improve our neighbors and the surrounding communities. Donations from the concerts, after expenses, are paid forward to community organizations.

Today, we are excited to announce a handful of changes that will support the growth of these two choruses in the years to come:
- As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are now known as South Sound Collective Voices. This organizational name change allows the youth chorus to retain the name Diverse Harmony, while enveloping the adult chorus, Fluidity, under one umbrella.
- This fall, we have launched a new website and refreshed digital communication tools to help us stay connected with donors, audiences, and members.

While these developments are exciting, they simply would not be possible without your generosity. Your donation directly supports essential resources for these choruses, including renting rehearsal spaces, hiring accompanists, securing insurance, procuring music, selecting performance venues, and so much more.

Can we count on you to help us reach our goal of $84,000 for the 2025-2026 fiscal year? We have chosen to accept donations through Zeffy which eliminates any credit card fees thus ensuring more of your dollars go directly to the support of these brave voices.

We are grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you at an upcoming concert!
