I love the movement π€ of the 2nd layer of floating blue for this project. It's alot richer in blue probably because of the delphiumn on the first coat. π I do have to practice more of my glazing technique. Im having a hard time pouring it and dipping it so it stays where I actually want it to be. π€

This floating blue glaze is so beautiful on the test tile but I have not had any success with it on any of my pieces. I cant tell if its too thick, too thin incompatible with my clay (bmix5). It's also because of this piece where ive decided to finally make test tiles for the glazes thats in my studio π.

I love β€οΈ how the outside of this piece came out and I was experimenting with how the cracks on the inside would appear and apparently "brainy". π§
π if anyone can tell me why the cracks happen in the comment section that would be helpful. 2 glazes. 1 quick coat of each. I also allowed ample time for the glaze to dry in between. the cracks formed almost immediately.

Pottery and glazing can be unpredictable. Most of the time for me its sorta disappointing. However this is one of the first few pieces where I was pleasantly surprised and happy with my piece. I really do love this glaze however as the community studio grows batches of glazes can change and also be discounted. Thus is the pure chaos and the lesson of never growing to be too attached to a piece or a glaze π€.

Happy New Year everyone~
Entering 2026 feeling inspired and motivated π€
I want to keep trying on finding my style and the only way to achieve that is to simply keep making more pottery. π₯°
Thank you for following along on my journey.
I canβt wait to show you more of my wins and happy accidents.
Here is the first piece of 2026~
Wanted to create a landscape scenery using glaze for this donut vase. What do you think? Can you see it?
