Sleep issues are not caused by a melatonin deficiency. They are a product of stress hormones, often adrenaline and cortisol keeping you alert when you should drifting off to sleep.
What causes stress hormones to be too high at night?
-blood sugar dysregulation
-dieting (low carb, low calorie, low anything)
-not eating enough
-fatty acid deficiency (by way of impacting blood sugar)
-mineral deficiencies (calcium is big here)
-2020 😳
Melatonin is just a bad sleep bandaid. Dig deeper and you will always find answers.

Are you taking the 'skin deep' or 'root cause' approach?
Science tells us quite a bit about the gut origin of skin issues (and dysbiosis or the disruption of microbe balance in the gut is often to blame).
Hopefully in another decade gut microbiome testing will be an integral part of dermatologic care, but until then, you have me 😉.
