Our July calendar spotlight is Ms. Riley! She is the beloved fur baby of Nancy Thai and Eric Whitmire. We wish her the best birthday month! Ball anyone?

Riley is a 5-year-old pittie mix who came into the world as the daughter of a pregnant rescue from Texas and was adopted at 8 weeks from her fosters in Blaine, WA through Three Little Pitties Rescue. This brindle “gnocchi gremlin” is a true soul dog—full of joy, laughter, and endless cuddles. Riley adores people and has a deep emotional capacity. She is loved beyond measure and is the best adventure buddy. True to pittie form, this princess pittie hates the PNW rain and wants nothing more than full body contact snuggles, preferably while smothered under a blanket.

🐾 It’s That Time of Year Again —Save the Date for the Furevermore Gala! 🐾

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10 at Fremont Studios for our biggest fundraiser of the year!

This special evening raises critical funds for Seattle’s animals most in need while supporting a connected network of animal welfare and community organizations working together to keep pets safe, healthy, and with the families who love them.

Because no single organization can do this work alone—every connection matters.

⭐️And we’re excited to introduce ONE of this year’s stars of the show: Dino Nuggies! Stay tuned to learn more about this adorably BIG ambassador from Seattle Animal Shelter, and our second star appearing soon!

Our PRIDE and Joy of our June calendar – sweet Otto!

Otto, the lovable and goofy Doberman is the dog son of Erica Sanchez. He was rescued in 2019, spent two years with his pawrents before unforeseen circumstances led to his rehoming in 2021. Despite the challenges, his dog mom held onto hope of one day seeing him again. In May 2023, a search revealed Otto as adoptable, and after connecting with Dog Gone Seattle, they were joyously reunited. Otto’s memory was unwavering, and in a heartwarming twist, he returned home that June, this time rescuing his dog mom. A tale that, cliché or not, rings true. Otto is undeniably her soul-dog.
