This workshop explores how legal status, economic systems, and social narratives shape the experiences of 1.5-generation and undocumented students in higher education. Instead of focusing on deficits, participants will examine how institutions define “status” and belonging. Using a systems lens, students will learn how to move from survival to strategic navigation, seeing higher education not just as a barrier, but as a space for agency and opportunity.
