Hard to forget what you know? Do you keep thinking about calories all the time? This is the hardest part of intuitive eating - unlearn what you know and forget about all rules. Because there are no rules! You're free to eat anything you want any time you want no matter how many calories it has. Yes, ANYTHING!

Easiest way to get rid of negativity in your mind is WRITING.

I call it Emotional Dumping.
Take a notebook or a piece of paper and start writing down anything that comes to your mind for 5-10mins. No judgment, no fear, no thinking about what you're writing.

JUST WRITE AND LET GO.

Emotional state is important. Same way you take care of your body every day, same way you should take care of your mind. Practice Emotional Dumping often and you will have a healthier and happier life.

DIET - what a SCARY word for my brain!⁠

As soon as I mention this word - I want to eat ALL the FOOD in my fridge and on my storage shelves. ⁠
⁠
Why? Because my brain already knows from the previous experience that we will starve, we won't be able to eat what we want, and who knows, POTENTILALLY die of starvation if it goes long enough. Not logical in our well-off society but not so well-known for our thousand or even million of years brain that went through evolution. Genes memory is powerful, it remembers the starvation and deprivation from thousands or millions of generations before you. That is why restrictions in food so hard to sustain - your whole subconscious mins is against you. It wants the best for you - to live and thrive and who cares if you don't like your extra pounds - better be safe than sorry. ⁠

That's why I don't do diet anymore. Because they don't work. Because they do more harm than good. Because you can't sustain them long-term. Because you gain more weight after. ⁠
