Lately I’ve been thinking about the quiet ways we make ourselves smaller.
We save the fancy jewelry.
We choose the “safe” outfit.
We wait for the right occasion.
What if we stopped waiting? I believe jewelry doesn’t change who we are. It simply helps us become more of ourselves.

Experimenting today with a new material - horsehair! It is used in garment construction and millinery (hat making). I am liking that it is easy to manipulate, but also transparent so I can see layers within the forms. I am spending my morning playing with exploring fluidity and movement that I will eventually create with wax. Would you like to see more of this process? Let me know!
