This Saturday, our volunteers came together to help a senior living alone by spreading 14 yards of bark throughout her yard.

The goal was simple — create a safer, low-maintenance space that looks beautiful and reduces the muddy areas where she walks and parks. A small change that makes a big difference in everyday life.

Projects like this help seniors remain independent, safe, and proud of their homes.

We are so proud of the students and volunteers who gave their time and energy to serve with kindness and compassion.

Every yard tells a story. Every act of service builds community.

“Welcome Home” 🇺🇸

March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, a day dedicated to honoring all who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces between November 1, 1955, and May 7, 1975. It is often remembered as a long overdue message to those who did not always receive the recognition they deserved:

Welcome Home.

Today, BLHS Key Club students partnered with The Blessing Movement to prepare and serve dinner for veterans at VA Post 67 in Puyallup.

Through service, conversation, and gratitude, these students helped create a meaningful afternoon to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of those who served our country.

Moments like these remind us that service connects generations. Listening to stories, sharing smiles, and offering a simple “thank you” can make a lasting impact.

We are incredibly proud of these young leaders for stepping forward to honor our veterans with compassion and respect.
