Have you seen the new BBC documentary KINGDOM? It’s so good!
We love Zambia’s South Luangwa National
Park and are constantly suggesting it to our travelers who are in search of a raw and rich wilderness experience in Southern Africa.
Encapsulated in its massive 3,500 square miles, the undammed Luangwa River is a primary example of an untouched African environment teaming with wildlife.
What makes this area truly special is that it still feels wonderfully free of human influence. It’s home to a collection of family-operated camps and lodges, intentionally devoid of the massive corporate investments that have altered the safari experience in some of Africa’s other famous destinations.
In 2024, Jeff visited the park’s Nsefu sector when the BBC crew was wrapping their 5 year filming project for Kingdom and was able to see some of their trackers in the field. The documentary does a great job of showcasing the dynamic wildlife interactions in the park, especially the wild dog which are one of our favorite species to spot in the wild. To safari like the BBC crew, stay at the newly rebuilt Olimba Camp by , based in the heart of the Nsefu Sector and named for the leopard that stars in the film.
With David Attenborough’s classic narration, Kingdom is a fun way to get a taste of the safari experience in Zambia. 🇿🇲 And hopefully get inspired to visit yourself!

Helping travelers plan a stopover in Copenhagen en route to Finland this summer made us reminisce and scroll back to Kirsten’s recent stay in October.
A perfect long weekend to catch up with a college girlfriend. Lots of walking. Too much good food. A photograph waiting to be made around every corner. Taking the train north to the Louisiana Museum of Art. A boutique luxury hotel that fits our vibe just right. Storybook architecture paired with enough grit to keep it all in check. And a fun & creative way to reward visitors for making climate-friendly choices through the Copen Pay program with
Thank you to and the for a wonderful mini-getaway. We love sending travelers to this Danis city, a great jumping off point for further travels through the Nordic region.
