It is almost time for the Panama Hotel Popup!
Thank you so much everyone who purchased the tickets.
This Thursday at Panama Hotel Cafe, three sushi chefs from NYC, TOKYO and SEATTLE, get together to make sushi for PANAMA HOTEL.
We created T-shirts to celebrate this gathering with the YAKKO SUSHI logo, the sushi restaurant which was established by our mentor Chef Nakajima’s grandfather in Tokyo.
It is available while it lasts at the event, and the profit goes to the Panama Hotel.
We can’t wait to see you there!

***All profit goes to Panama Hotel***
Chef Keiji’s mentor chef Kunihide Nakajima from Nakaji NYC will be back in Seattle and together we will make this fundraiser event to support PANAMA HOTEL in Japan town in Seattle, where solo owner Jan Johnson is working hard to preserve the history of Japanese Americans in Seattle.
This time, Chef Nakajima’s cousin and also sushi chef, Naritoshi Oyakata from Yakko Sushi in Tokyo joins us and the three sushi chefs will make sushi together.
One ticket comes with the set of sushi for one person traditionally;
it’s called -5巻チャンチキ-Gokan Chanchiki, that consists of 5 sushi and two small rolls. This time, we put together the set using Bluefin Tuna.
You can either take it home or eat at Panama Hotel Cafe, while enjoying their great selections of Tea, or Sake and other cocktails. In the cafe, there are many displays of Japanese American history and we want to invite you to spend time exploring!
It’s $40 per person. The tickets are limited and will be released tomorrow at 11am on Tock!
4pm, 5pm and 6pm slots available. We will put event link in our bio.

NAKAJI POP UP -Golden Week special!
Chef Nakajima KunihideNakajima from NAKAJI will come back on May 5th and 6th!
May reservations including NAKAJI POP UP will be released on April 15th, at 11am on TOCK.
Japan has three major holiday periods:
New Year’s: December 29 – January 3
Golden Week: April 29 – May 6
Obon: August 13 – 16
Although the Japanese are known for working hard from morning till night, during these long breaks, they cherish the opportunity to spend enjoyable time with family and friends.
This time, during one of these holidays—Golden Week—I would like to invite my mentor, Chef Nakajima, to join us in Seattle so that we may share a delightful time with all of you.
Additionally, we are planning a special event at the Panama Hotel during Chef Nakajima’s stay. Joining us will not only be my mentor himself, but also his cousin—Master Naritoshi—who is visiting all the way from Tokyo.
We hope you look forward to that as well!
